There is a lot that happens in senior year, and it may be hard to keep track of what everything means. Here are some of the terms you might hear and what they mean!
Events:
Senior Sunrise (Sept)– Seniors gather before school to hang out, paint lab coats, and watch the sunrise
Senior Prom (May)– A dance organized by ASB seniors, held off campus. Students will dress up in formal attire, get together with friends, take pictures, and go to dinner outside of the dance itself. Some students will also do “promposals”, where one student will make an elaborate display to ask someone else to prom
Senior Sunset (June) – A closing to the year. Students will get together to watch the sunset as they close off their high school journey.
Senior Celebration (June) – An end of year party organized by the PTSA for the senior class.
Yearbook:
Senior Pictures – In their senior year, students have the option to submit a professional photo for their yearbook picture. More information will be communicated throughout the year, but picture deadline is early January.
Senior Ads – Parents or family members can pay to place customized senior ads in the yearbook congratulating their new graduate! Deadline will be in early January. This is OPTIONAL.
Caps and Gowns – Cap and Gown orders are now available! Use this Jostens order link to order online. Or they can be ordered in person on November 25 during both lunches. Graduation packets are available in the office.
