SAT Test Prep - Information Meeting (2020)

Here is the presentation from the ACT/SAT Test Prep Panel and discussion held on September 10th, 2020. Experts from different organizations participated to provide an insight into alternatives available with regards to SAT and ACT preparation. 

SAT and ACT Test Preparation Talk

Paragon Tutoring spoke at the Tesla STEM PTSA Membership Meeting on Sept 11, 2019, about SAT Test Prep Course offered at Tesla STEM School (limited to 30 students), differences between ACT and SAT, when to do a test prep and what you can expect.

College Myths/Realities Presentation

LWSD Resources for SAT and ACT Test Preparation

Free online SAT and ACT prep course, paid for you by LWSD, offered through Method Test Prep! Includes full-length practice exams, vocabulary practice, and a 16-week test prep plan. Access this through your student's Xello app.

 

College Visits on Tesla STEM High School Campus

Each year in the Fall, Tesla STEM High School Juniors, Seniors and interested Sophomores can meet with representatives from colleges at the school. The list of colleges, dates and times are listed on PowerSchool under the Counselor's page. Your students will receive email about it as well. 

We have no information at this time on how this will be set up virtually for 2020-21 school year. 

 

Talk: Calculate College Costs, Aid, FAFSA, Funding, Scholarships, Financial Aid

Tesla Counselor's have in the past, set up a talk on how to calculate college costs, types of aid, completing the FAFSA, types of funding, institutional and merit scholarships, and answering financial aid questions.

Compass Education Group - Test Preparation Talk

Tesla Counselor's have in the past, set up a talk on preparation for SAT and ACT Prep with Compass Test Prep. Information for 2020-21 school year is not known. 

This course is hosted by Tesla STEM High School Counselors. They will send information in email, and on the Counselors page.
